Agenesis, position, class and angulation of impacted mandibular third molar teeth in 21 – 25 years old subjects visiting dental teaching hospital in Peshawar.

Objective: To document the frequency of agenesis, position, class and angulation impacted mandibular third molar teeth in patients aged range between 21-25 years visiting Khyber College Dentistry using Pell Gregory Winter’s classification system. Study Design: Descriptive Cross-Sectional study. Setting: Department Maxillofacial Surgery Orthodontics Dentistry. Period: March to September, 2020. Material & Methods: A total number 390 having were selected non-probability consecutive sampling technique. All on panoramic radiographs reviewed by a single examiner X-ray viewer determine impaction. Results: The mean age study participants was 22.89 SD ± 1.41 majority males (n= 203, 52.1%) from group 23 114, 29.2%). Overall, molars both right left side Position C (57.5%) followed (30.75%) B (11.7%).Agenesis identified 5.7% sample assessed. Impaction patterns higher among (52%) compared females (48%). Most common pattern arches Mesioangular (46.4%) least buccolingual (4.6%). highly statistical significant difference with chi-square test when gender. (P < 0.01). Conclusion: In conclusion, this research provides useful data regarding different most impaction Class 3. maximum patients. results current will help maxillofacial surgeons safe removal specially healthcare settings where resources are limited.
